Volunteer Roles

Please select the area in which you would like to serve, noting the anticipated time commitment for each. We will try our best to accommodate your preference.
Buddy - Accompany a Guest with companionship, fun, and assistance throughout the prom celebration. Volunteers will be paired with a Guest by the NTS Team; Families & Best buddies should answer yes & Guest's name below. Time commitment 4:30-9:15 pm
Activities Team - Engage with Guests, facilitate games, help with photo booth, karaoke, etc. Time commitment 5:00-9 pm
Decorating Team - VIP Style. Transform our church building into a special place for Kings & Queens to walk the red carpet, dine, sing and dance the night away. Check in early in the morning with a possible request for help the night before
Hair, Makeup, & Shoeshine - Pamper our Guests with last minute touch ups. Time commitment 5-9 pm
Host a Table - Oversee your assigned table to welcome, check in, and connect buddies, guests, parents, and caregivers; host your table throughout the event. Time commitment 4:15-9:15 pm
Meal Team - Assist with dinner, snacks, and drinks for Guests and families, as well as a snack area for volunteers. Time commitment 4-9 pm
Paparazzi - Treat Guests like the royal Celebrities that they are! Time commitment 5-9 pm
Parent/Family Respite Team - Love on and serve as a liasion for families while their Guest enjoys the celebration. Time commitment 5-9 pm
Sensory Area - Assist overstimulated Guests in our calm, quiet space; experience is a plus. Time commitment 5-9 pm
Custodial Caretaker - Keep the building clean and debris free during the event. Take out garbage and assist with any clean up needed. Time commitment 5-9:30 pm
Tear Down Team - Plan to arrive at close of event and/or the next morning to remove trash, take down tables, reset chairs, vacuum, and have the church ready for Sunday services
Virtual Celebration Team - Plan and deliver prom decor & favors, tiaras and crowns, to those unable to attend in person, in the days ahead of the event.
Volunteer Assistants - Greet, check in, and assist our volunteers as they arrive between 3:30 & 5:00 pm; stay and serve as floaters throughout the event.
Prayer Team - Focused prayer warriors leading up to and during the event; encourage and pray with Guests while crafting salvation bracelets. Time Committment 5-9 pm
Parking & Security Team - Manage flow, assist guests, and ensure a safe and secure environment, inside and outside the building; coordinate with police and ems if needed. Time Commitment 4:30-9:30 pm
